It's important to always bring the purpose of the fundraiser back around to the parents' child. Make it about them! Nobody loves their child more than they do. Make sure you make the purpose & the goal of the fundraiser clear. Inform the parents about how this will benefit & impact their child for the better. On top of that, be up front about how the fundraiser will end up saving the parents money. No one is going to be mad about that! The more their child sells, the less of their own money they have to put forward. Last, describe to the parent how many important skills like public speaking, communication & team-building the fundraiser will provide for their child. Fundraising provides many opportunities for their child to grow & learn some pretty amazing life skills!
